Coffee & Tea

after-theatre coffee in midtown

Howard | Dec 24, 199901:32 PM

Any suggestions regarding a nice place or two to have coffee and dessert after the theatre, in Midtown? Something like Cafe Lalo or Edgar's, or Palacinka or the Big Cup or Sant Ambroeus? There seem to be coffee shops all over, except midtown after the show. The other night we tried Cafe Un Deux Trois on 44 St (great location), which was an OK place to sit down although the desserts barely reached mediocrity, (they made up for it in sheer volume, if you hadn't had dinner) and the waitress simultaneously served our desserts and attempted to remove all the silverware. So any suggestions of a place a couple of steps up the quallity ladder would be appreciated.
