Thanksgiving Weekend in Willamette Valley tips?

netphemera | Oct 25, 200503:08 PM     2

Thanks to all for the tips on local wine shops and tastings. $15 does seem a bit steep for me, but with all these solid recommendations I guess I'll just have to take the plunge.

Thanks for all the recommendations on going to the Thanksgiving weekend tasting. I was hesitant to go, fearing large crowds, but it does sound like a good opportunity.

I was wondering if anyone had any advice on tackling the weekend. I'll most likely only hit the wineries that aren't normally open to tastings. (Last time we went to the Willamette, I was lucky enough to taste at Bergstrom, which isn't normally open, and found that to be the highlight.)

Is any one day better than any others? Is any particular day less crowded? Any wineries that are known for offering noteworthy specials or future offerings? Any other advice?
