OK, so last weekend our daughter came down to our home in Rosarito and we did the home-cooked family Thanksgiving on Saturday - what a feast and lots of leftovers.
So, by Thursday, I thought we would be "turkeyed-out", but, no, the hubby said, "Let's go out for dinner."
We arrived at Splash at 3:00 pm, which was perfect timing for our ocean front table, for the winter's eve view of the setting sun over the Pacific ocean and the amount of business.
The restaurant and bar was three-quarters full and they were completely sold out from five o'clock on.
We were served pumpkin cream soup to start, turkey, dressing and fresh mashed potatoes, with all three covered with gravy, cranberry sauce, sauteed fresh green beans with bacon and onions and a dinner roll.
Dessert was a choice of pumpkin or pecan pie (both made in-house).
Also, a glass of white or red house wine was included.
All the tables around us were oohing and aahing about how good the food was.
What was the cost? $10.95 U.S. per person.
