Just came back from Thalassa. Overall would have to give it a negative review. It does not measure up to the quality of the food at Milo's.
For starters we ordered:
salt cod fritters served on top of a soft cheese mixture on a plate of roasted beets- this was very good, excellent combination of flavors
calamari stuffed with parlsey and feta,grilled- this too was well done, calamari tasted fresh and were grilled perfectly, however the strong taste of the feta tended to overwhelm the rest of the ingredients
grilled octopus salad- the plate was put together well, with good flavor, however the octopus was much tougher than I expected
Our main dishes were-
whole roasted loup de mer for two--very well cooked fresh fish
roasted sea bass with barolo sauce and diver scallops-
this dish was extremely disappointing, with a bland cream based sauce and dull fish, scallops were the only bright point
lemon potatoes- horrible, way too lemony and soaked in butter, not crisp
mushroom risotto- ridiculously bad, no of the ingredients melded together, complete lack of rich mushroom or chicken stock flavor, one of the worst risottos I have ever had
overall I would not say that quality of the meal was equal to its cost.
