Thai Square (is the service slipping?)

Has anyone noticed that the service at Thai Square (Arlington off of Columbia Pike between Glebe and Walter Reed) has seemed to be lacking of late? The food is still good, but I'm not going back there when I can get food that is just as good or better near by with better service and decor and at the same price.

I had dinner there last night and it took almost an hour for us to get our food. Then when we asked to have our 3 leftover dishes packed, they only brought back 2 dishes... they went back and got the third, but quite frankly, I'm afraid to eat it. For all I know, she fished it out of the sink. And this is after the fact that I complained that our food was taking so long. You'd think that they would actually try to provide better service after that.

But wait!... there's more... I paid with cash and the lady took it and set it by the cash register and walked back into the kitchen... another 5 minutes to get my change. Of course the manager came by to say sorry several times, but obviously she did not mean it. They're lucky that I left anything for a tip.

To stick with the theme of this board, we had the Pad See Ew, Jumbo shrimp with bean thread noodles, and Larb na, which all tasted good, but it's not worth it if you're eating you meal in a pissed off mood.

Thanks for reading and let me know if you think that this is just a one time occurance (although, I've gone there often and service does seem to be slipping) or if this was just an unusually bad day for them (and me).
