Thai Pork Leg Stew / Thai House Express

brian j | Dec 30, 200501:52 PM     1

Recently ate at Thai House Express and ordered their Kao Ka Moo, Special pork leg stew. Was recommended by another poster and described as carnitas-like shredded pork with SE Asian flavor. This dish was amazing and lived up to that description.

Very reminiscent of our favorite dish from Sripraphai in Queens, NY. At Sripraphai they have this dish (C-17) that has very similiar flavor and texture, except that after stewing the meat they stir fry it with Chili-Basil.

Does anyone know of any other Thai spots that have a dish similiar to this? Or any other restaurant that has any sort of shreddy, pulled pork type dish? Would be especially interested in any place that has something similiar with natural pork.

Thanks,
Brian
