Yesterday I got take-out at the new Thai restaurant on Prospect Park West, near 17th Street.
I ordered a chicken kra prow, and asked for it VERY spicy. But it was probably the blandest excuse for Thai food I've ever had - not a hint of spice, or flavor. It was more like super bland chinese food. The green papaya salad also had none of the sourness or spiciness it should.
Why is it so hard to make real Thai food? Or do they just think people won't like it?
