Thai Nakorn (Garden Grove)

russkar | Dec 7, 200304:15 PM

We went to the new THAI NAKORN in GG for lunch today. I had to check it out, considering it's half the distance as Renu Nakorn and is getting good reviews. We arrived at 12:30p and no one was there. I assume it's because it's only been open a month and it's not really on a main drag. Besides it's raining and Sun.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated and very fresh and clean, let's face it, it's Brand New.
We ordered very light because we just finished off a HUGE breakfast 2 hours earlier, Seafood Paradise(dim sum).Anyway we ordered the usual suspects. Thai Tea, Chix Sate, Tom Yum Kung(Hot& Sour Soup w/Shrimp),Pad Thai w/Shrimp. The TT, was good. The Sate was Outstanding(maybe the best in a long time, very tender),Tom Yum Kung was almost as good as Renu, Pad Thai was almost as good(lack of seasoning, flavor compared) at Renu. We like the Thai Nakorn in Buena Park better but after a few months this one may catch up and then we will be driving a lot less toward Norwalk.
