Thai Homemade expanded menu

Dougk | Mar 9, 200412:10 PM

Went to TH last night, asked for the Thai Specials menu, it looks ot have nearly doubled since I was there last week. She didn't have any printed to hand out yet so I didn't get to snag a menu, but I did try two new dishes, the beef liver nam tok and an item listed as "fried mussels". The beef liver was perfectly cooked slices of liver in what seemed like laarb dressing and spices, roasted dried chilis, ground roasted rice, lime juice etc. but without the sweet note I sometimes find in laarb. Amazingly tasty! The fried mussels were mussels fried into an egg based pancake on top of a bed of blanched bean sprout and served with a sweet/hot sauce I've not seen before, I should have eaten this first, the first few bites I had when it was hot were fantastic but as it cooled the pancake seemed a bit greasy and the mussels became the consistency of rubber. Order this dish first if you do. I don't remember all of the other menu additions, but as soon as she has the new menu printed up I'll post them, several were things I've never seen before so I look forward to going back and checking them out.
