Thai Corner to Lucky Pot and all inbetween (HOU)

We went to that awsome culinary strip center at the corner of Bellaire and BW8 for lunch today.

Wife had the chicken pad thai. She said it was very good, and not somewhat greasy as it can be at other places. I had the tom yum soup and the water spinach. The soup was very flavorful and very spicy. The water spinach was just AWESOME, and very VERY hot. I don't know how they prepare it, but its some of the best spinach I've had anywhere.

We were going to eat a Lucky Pot, but it was completely full. While walking from Lucky Pot to Thai Corner, I passed 3 (THREE) whole restaurants that I haven't seen discussed on here! They were all reasonably authentic looking chineese cafes with interesting menus. (One of them is owned/managed by an ex-Miyako waitress who used to wait on me, LazyMF and a few of our fellow lawyer friends a few years ago.)

So John, Tex Nosh, either of you guys up for lunch at one of these places this week? You in Chicago yet, John? Anyone else care to join me? My favorite chowhound lunch buddy has had the unmitigated gall to move to the hill country... Let me know.

Remember, please respond to my lunch invite at my email: stewart (at) wt.net
