I just love the ordinary salsa that is out on the table at Austin, TX restaurants like Las Manitas and Mi Madre's. I want to make salsa that tastes just like that.
FYI, this salsa definitely contains raw garlic and probably raw chiles (as opposed to roasted) and is made in the blender or food processor. My guess at ingredients is: tomato, chiles, onion, garlic, cilantro, lime or vinegar(?), salt. Definitely no chipotle. I'm sure it is so simple but somehow I can't get the proportions nailed down ... any suggestions for getting it right?
