The NYT used that term in a piece about West, Texas, many years ago but it hasn't caught on like Tex-Mex. I have no idea if any of the restaurants named in that article are still in business (it wasn't just the well-known kolache shops) and I'm not anywhere near West nor planning on heading that way. However, I am headed out from Houston toward Austin/San Antonio and the Hill Country soon and was wondering - are there any cafes, restaurants, etc., along the way in any of the little towns with Czech heritage that serve traditional Czech fare? I'm not talking about kolaches or sausage - I know where to get those.
Anybody know of any?
