tertulia & boqueria, SD26 & scarpetta

Thanks as always to everyone on the board who so faithfully and in such wonderful detail posts!
Had a very good meal at scarpetta. We shared the polenta. Not a polenta person but it was very creamy and delicious. Then shared 2 pastas. The pomodore (amazing of course) and pasta with seafood. It was too peppery for me but my husband loved it. With all the bread we were pretty stuffed but had ordered a black cod and that was so, so good.
The waiter was wonderful, very nice and all the service was terrific. I think I may have liked SD26 a tiny bit better but hard to say.Do think pasta portions were larger at Scarpetta

Ate at tertuila sun eve. Showed up Sun ( mem day weekend), told an hour and a half wait but turned out to only be 40 mins. Loved the atmosphere. Yes, crowded and noisy but if you dont like crowded and noisy , in my opinion you shouldn't eat at a tapas place. Had 3 things from top section. The marinated mushrooms, pine nuts on bread was decent but not great. The grilled mussels with fennel jam was amazing. The crushed egg, potato and hm my husband said was the best thing he ever ate. From 2nd section ordered the octopus and langostinos. The octopus was good. The were out of the langostinos and without asking us just brought us a swordfish. Thought that was weird as I would have wanted to choose my own substitute. Also had the potatoes which were great, great.
Aside from that the service was super friendly and very knowledgeable. We were stuffed.

Had eaten at boqueria, soho a few weeks before. I liked that atmosphere at Tertuilla beter, cooler looking. In terms of food boqueria had more consistently good while Ter had more highs that were better than Boq but also more lows.
