Today was the opening day of the new Terry Avenue Saturday Market in South Lake Union. Basically just north of Whole Foods, on Terry between Denny and Thomas. At least 50 vendors including a few new to the markets this season, there were food trucks, hot food stands, jewelry, crafts, mustard, candles, lotion, Hawaiian donuts, cookies, macarons, olive oil, brownies with broccoli in them, and even actual farms - Alvarez, Hayton berries - so a bit of everything. I got my booth set up early and went to scope things out. Here's what I found. Enjoy.
Pickles! The habanero dills had a decent heat and slight sweetness.
Sweet Bumpas, edgy ice cream. I enjoyed a pandan leaf ice cream & chocolate cookie sandwich. I believe he is only doing Terry Ave and Fremont Sunday market. Six Strawberries was also there with popsicles.
Knot & Twist, breads and pretzels with dips & spreads. Super nice couple, this is their first market and I think only regular one so far.
Kombucha, if you're into that sort of thing. Soda Jerk was there too with his fresh sodas, and someone with lemonade.
I will have to try this next week. I love cheese, and you don't see a lot of sheep milk.
Coffee. Mandatory. There was another cute coffee cart doing pour-over or something trendy.
Sauces, did not try. Various other vendors had Indonesian peanut sauce, vegan pesto, South American hot sauce...lots of ways to not have to cook.
Ellenos was there. I can't believe they use fresh passion fruit. Or at least passion fruit with seeds, it did seem sweetened. Baller move.
Jerky. Did not try, but will have to next time. I like a good meat snack.
Dolcetta, super delicious chocolate bars & truffles, caramels, pate de fruits and macarons. You need some of this in your mouth. At Terry Ave (except June 20 & 27) and Bellevue Thursday market.
