Terrific Denver breakfast place

We headed off this past weekend to Denver for the mineral show out at the Merchandise Mart and nearby hotels. Not much out in this area but wearhouses and the like, so finding anything nearby that's good is a real effort. We found out that there is actually quite the treasure though, just across from the Mart itself at the back of a small strip of stores. A great Greek-American diner (with a few Mexican influenced things just to mix things up) called the Red Rooster Cafe.

They are open from 5 am to 3, and breakfasts are a specialty. Quite the assortment of stuff available including both the usual omelets, pancakes, french toast and waffles, but also all sorts of meats and combinations (including steaks, chicken fried steaks, gyros meat, pork chops, and pork souvlaki in addition to the usual bacon, ham and corned beef hash).

Being more adventurous, I went with the Athenian scrambler: eggs, feta, gyro meat, onions, peppers, mushrooms and Tsitsaki sauce on the side, served with toast and excellent, non-greasy, made-from-scratch homefries. Needless to say I didn't come close to finishing it all. DH's bacon omelet was equally generous, with thick cut, meaty bacon. Both were about $6 and nothing on the breakfast menu was more than $7.95.
