Formerly known as Joe's Pizza & Madrid Tapas, a new sign is up on Mamaroneck Ave: Tentempie Madrid Tapas Bar, a cozy Spanish-style tapas restaurant with counter and high-tops. Looks like it is ready to open. There is already a lot of food service going on along Mamaroneck Ave., but this one will, at least, offer a different type of cuisine. Last time I stopped into the former Joe's, members of the Pennacchio family were there enjoying a table full of tapas, not pizza. The Pennacchio's, who hail from Argentina, have been involved in the culinary for many years going all the way back to their father Paolo. Wonder if there is a connection? More to come on this one.
