Tried the masala dosa lady at the Temescal Farmer's Market last Sunday. The dosa itself was just OK. It was cooked on both sides, which I think is unusual? The potato filling was good (and plentiful) -- nicely spiced with pieces of chili and curry leaves. So far, not as good as Udupi or Vik's, but...
The star was the homemade tamarind chutney, with fresh peaches, I think. Unbelievable fresh flavor, perfectly balanced spices. It was obviously made with the best produce available. Not cheap, at $7, but you get the quality you pay for.
I didn't try the corn tikki with heirloom tomato chutney, but that chutney looked phenomenal as well. I wonder whether the menu will change with the seasons?
