TC Just Desserts Pastry to English Translator

A comment on a Top Chef Just Desserts episode that a poster couldn't mentally taste the desserts as well as s/he could mentally taste the food on other shows made me wonder, do people just not know what the heck the pastry chefs are actually making, and therefore can't put it together? It's true, there is a lot of foreign and vague terminology thrown around. Not everyone is going to know what layers of feuillatine praline and dacquoise add to a cake, limiting the show's appeal. It shouldn't have to be for pros only due to a language barrier.

Stumbled across this today:

If there is other pastry terminology you need defined, post it here and I'll try to help.
