Taylor Ham

Emee | Jan 8, 2001 01:56 PM

Hello...I was born in Montclair, and raised in Northfield and Basking Ridge...Grew up with Taylor Ham for Sunday morning breakfast. When my family moved to Illinois, my father would have friends from NJ send him an occasional TAYLOR Ham. It is a taste I crave...and try to discribe to my friends, but never have been successful.
A few years ago some NJ friends brought me Taylor Pork Roll, but that is NOT the same as the Ham. The pork roll was only about 3 to 31/2 inches in diameter. The Taylor ham that I remember was the size of commercial Bologna (5 to 6 inches in diameter) and "orangish-red" in color, not "greyish" as was the sausage.
Please, do you know where online that I can order the "real" Taylor HAM??? Am now retired and that would be a r-e-a-l TREAT.

Thank you for taking your time to help me...Emee
