Tasty Italian Meatballs for a birthday celebration?

MissVeg | Mar 27, 201504:37 PM     30

Mr. Non-veg is turning 40, and as he is a man of the people, he would like nothing better than delicious meatballs for his birthday dinner. We live in the east bay but will travel. I was thinking Delfina, but they don't take reservations, and if there's one thing Mr. Non-Veg hates, it's WAITING. So, somewhere with great meatballs, pasta unnecessary but a plus, and it would be great if it were a little nicer than a sub/sandwich shop... I was thinking Pizzaiolo, but alas, no meatballs on the menu, and Little Star, while beloved, is a little too much on our regular rotation (but it's definitely a back-up).
Thanks in advance!
