New and Tasty Chinese-Indian

We just had a delicious dinner at a new restaurant called IndoWok on Lexington btw 27th and 28th. The Manchurian Beef and the Shrimp Chilli (dried) were superior to comparable dishes at Chinese Mirch (one block away) and Talk of the Town (in Jackson Heights), and almost as good as at Tangra Masala (in Elmhurst). The lollipop chicken was less successful but still quite good. Unfortunately, the restaurant has only been open three days, and we were the only customers at 7:30 pm on a Friday night. The staff was very attentive and, when we complimented the food, the chef came out of the kitchen to thank us. He apparently used to cook at Tangra Masala and Talk of the Town, but now he is working here. Highly recommended for those who want tasty Chinese-Indian food without trekking out to Queens!
