So after seeing a movie at the Senator yesterday, and trying for a martini at Grand Cru with no success (Jammed full o' folks) I went across the street to Taste. It was about 4:30 and I was the only one there, but the bartender took me under his wing and told me all about the restaurant. He made a great martini (served with a glass of water, which you don't get most places anymore without asking) and the space is beautiful! The menu was quite extensive, with the most expensive entree being rack of lamb at $39.00. But they had some very interesting things, such as lobster bouillabaisse, both for an ap and entree. The wine menu was pretty thorough especially by the glass, and there was a separate drinks menu with lots of classics, such as a Brandy Alexander. All in all, I was impressed...but didn't eat there. He said there is jazz on Friday night. I've looked on the boards and can't find anything other than from 2004. Has anyone eaten there recently?
