Taste of the Himalayas (Sausalito)

Taste of the Himalayas, with Nepali, Tibetan and Indian food, has been in the town of Sonoma for several years. A few months ago they opened a place in Sausalito and I went there for lunch today. There's no buffet as there is in Sonoma, so I ordered the Macha Tarkari ($12) - garlic, ginger & bell peppers sauteed with wild King Salmon curry - from the lunch menu. The bowl of curry came with poppadom, naan, and rice. The chunks of salmon were cooked just right for me, meaning cooked through but definitely not overcooked and still very tender. The curry was very flavorful and also quite mild on the heat scale; I could have used more spice and heat. The waitress had worked in the Sonoma place and was very friendly and accommodating. They had a wine list that looked well selected and well priced. Free corkage on Monday. This is a very inviting place, right on Bridgeway in the northern end of Sausalito. and I look forward to trying more things there.
