Babysitter MIL lives in Tarzana, so looks like we need to eat in the area...options considered are:
Katsu-ya Encino - foods fine, but rushed service and more importantly only 5:30 or 9:30 reservation options rule it out
Hirosuke - If you like this place, please don't bother to respond to my post. I didn't eat Sushi for 6 months after last, and sole, visit.
I liked that place in Woodland Hills, can't recall the name, just west of Woodland Hills Wine Co. on Ventura, north side of street.
FYI, I'm not crazy about Nozawa (closed anyway), but like Tama in Studio City.
I know there at least a dozen places on Ventura - any reccos for nice ambiance and good sushi. And I don't want to spend Asanebo money...otherwise I'd just trek down there.
Thanks in advance.
