Tartare, Plouf, Frisson or something else?

I've seen some great reviews and some bad reviews of Tartare. I've seen the menu and it looks good to me, but I'm just not sure. Has anyone been there? My wife and I are going to be in SF for three nights and have plans for a romantic dinner the first night, a Saturday. Monday is our last night and we want something good but not $150pp. If it's around $150 total for the two of us without alcohol and tip, I'd be interested. Plouf sounds good to me cause I know my wife would love the al fresco seating/European style dining. How's the food? Is there another Belden Place restaurant I should consider?

I've heard a lot of good things about Frisson and was wondering if anyone here has tried it since Chef Daniel Peterson left. It looks like a cool place to go on the website, but I'd consider good food over decor, unless Frisson is really good. I'm open to any suggestions, my San Francisco dining experience is limited to Aqua four years ago.
