Has anyone made the apple tart from the Once Upon a Tart cookbook? A friend of mine has requested an apple tart for his birthday. He's from Morocco and says that his mother makes the best. Great. I showed him the picture in the cookbook, and he said it looks exactly like mom's. I know that I can't compete with mom's homemade tart, but if you have any suggestions, I'd like to hear back.
Also, the book calls for a nine inch tart pan. I have an 11 inch at home. Can I double the recipe for the crust and the filling and then use what I need for the tart?
