I wrote on the Manhattan board that my favorite dessert, Taro Pudding was for years made by Sweet-N-Tart restaurant in China Town but has now been discontinued. I've been searching for a year for a decent replacement but came up with nothing. Then this person posted that there's a Sweet-N-Tart on 136-11 38th Avenue in Flushing (last stop on the 7 train) that still makes it. I am dying to head out there and try it. It's the most heavenly dessert I've ever had, light, creamy, (not at all gritty) almost custard like with a few red beans on the bottom. It's light lavender in color. It will convert the otherwise dubious patron that thinks Chinese food cannot be sophisticated. Check it out and let me know what u think.
