This'll be brief, because others have already posted on this topic. I just wanted to thank everyone who recomended Taranta for RW. It was my first RW experience, and I was a bit apprehensive about the whole thing, given the many negative comments it engenders. But last night's dinner was absolutely wonderful--I thought the duck tamalito was especially wonderful, but one DC had the mussels (a very large portion!) and another had the salad, and both were excellent. For entrees, three of us had the lamb cassoulet, and one had the salmon. I enjoyed the lamb, though I never quite figured out where the papas secas (dried Peruvian potatoes) were in this very rich dish. Desserts--3 hazelnut tortes, 1 limoncello sorbet (me)--all wonderful. The service was every bit as good as others have claimed. I look forward to returning!
