Just discovered this great taqueria in the west Valley.
Their tacos are wonderful. I've had the tongue, chorizo, al pastor and carnitas.
The tongue was moist and tender, the chorizo had a nice punch to it and the al pastor was very moist and tender with a lovely crisp edge to it. The tortillas are perfectly light and fluffy. Tacos are $1.40 each, but they seem to offer a perpetual special of three tacos, rice and beans and a medium drink for $4.99.
They also serve great huevos rancheros and other egg dishes. They're $4.00 and the rice and beans are perfect, as is their array of salsas and condiments.
They're located in a strip mall on Ventura Blvd., across from the Mann Theatres. Their approximate address is 18713 Ventura Blvd. and they're open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:p.m. daily.
