Stopped in yesterday for some drinks and tapas. We ordered the garlic shrimp, roasted duck with berry sauce, artichoke hearts, and the pork loin with with Blue Goat Cheese & Mushrooms.

The complimentary bread and hummus were excellent if a bit garlicy (not necessarily a bad thing).

The duck thigh and leg were ok with the berry sauce but the duck tasted bland and somewhat dry. Supposedly roasted, it almost tasted steamed.

Garlic shrimp were as expected, very oily and garlicy, served in a pan with the oil still very hot and popping. Very tiny shrimp, although there were probably 15-20 of them. Not too inspiring, but not bad either.

Artichoke hearts were delicious, not much to describe, they're artichoke hearts. Oily, but mostly in a good way.

The best was the loin with the blue goat cheese and mushrooms. The cheese was melted all over the plate and the loin. The loin and few mushrooms were ok, but the cheese was excellent - great for dipping with the bread.

All in all, ok, but nothing special. Inexpensive meal outside on Newbury on a pleasant day.
