Tamworth Pork- go get some, NOW

I just joined a Meat CSA and we had pork chops for dinner last night. My goodness. I don't see how I'll be able to eat supermarket pork again. The flavor was intensely porky, and yet not overwhelming. Although it's described as a leaner breed, the texture was just lovely- succulent and just the right amount of chew. I sucked and chewed eveyr last bit of meat from the bone and even debated asking my hubby "are you gonna eat that?" when I saw his bone left on his plate (before he followed my sloppy carnivorous lead and picked up his bone to gnaw away.)

I just wanted to make my testimonial and encourage all hounds to go search this meat out if you can find it in your area. Sure, I like the marketing, it's a heritage breed, free range, natural breed, yadda yadda yadda. But at the end of the day, you can't eat marketing and this pork DELIVERS in the taste department. Try to find it near you. Today.
