TAMPA: Doormet - awesome find!

I've eaten at this spot a half dozen times now with friends/wife/etc, and yet to be disappointed or not impressed. Really great quality food, excellent attention to seasoning/spicing, creative specials, really reasonable prices and they deliver all over South Tampa (and into Westshore district, etc). So far the soup, pizza, sandwiches, entrees, salads, everything have been spot on. One of the owners used to cook at Pane Rustica, (one of my all-time favorites) so my interest was piqued from the get-go. From memory so far we've tried:

Southwestern Sweet Potato soup - excellent, meaty, earthy, a bit smoky, impressively rich for pretty healthy soup with no cream or butter! nicely complimented by a little dollop of sour cream and some chives.

"Roma" Pizza - very well cooked, solid amount of toppings, this one eats like a meal. Balsamic with the feta was a great pairing.

Tomozza Sandwich - yes, I am a balsamic nut. This sandwich is like taking a standard (tomato-basil-mozzarella) caprese salad (one of my favorite things) and making it amazing. They add a bit of saltiness (prosciutto) some bitterness (arugula) and some sweet/tartness (balsamic) and frame it with delicious bread. The bread is obtained daily from Pane Rustica so naturally it's awesome! I'm actually salivating right now, I might need to get one of these at lunch.

We've also tried a couple salads we enjoyed and really dug the side of cold pasta salad that compliments dishes, it was orzo pasta with some cinnamon or nutmeg or similar spice and golden raisins. AND THEY SERVE MIKE'S PIES!!!

I'm really sold on this spot, highly recommend it.
