Hey - anyone know a good source for a specific kind of tamal - rajas con queso? Either in the boroughs or in Manhattan (or in the tristate area for that matter). I haven't seen any, but am hopeful that I'll find them. They are plentiful in Mexico City, so considering the demographic composition of the mexican population here in NYC, I'm hopeful to find an adequate, quality supply somewhere nearby...
And while we are on Mexico City food... anyone know where to get great gorditas? The kind that are fried, about 5-6 inches wide and almost a whole inch thick. They cut them in half and fill them like a torta. These may be somewhat common, but I just haven't been on the lookout.
Any tips are greatly recommended.
