A Tale of Two Porks

Friday night at Nicholas. I had the asparagus, pork, and warm chocolate cake. Everything is very nice as usual, but honestly, I enjoyed the asparagus and the cake much more than the pork.

I do like the au jus with the pork, but somehow pulled pork to me, is meant to be enjoyed in a less formal setting.

Which brings me to lunch today. Took the family to Bad Bobs and had the family platter plus ribs. I know I'm comparing apples and oranges here, but I really did enjoy the pulled pork today more than Friday. And the ribs were as good as the pork.

I guess if I have a point at all here it is that you don't have to spend a lot of money to get great food. Also, the next time I go to Nicholas I am getting the lobster :o) One of our party had it this time and it was the best main dish on the table.

Also tyvm to this board for suggesting Bad Bobs - nice to know that while my pit smoker is still snowed under I can get real que.
