For my mom's 60th, I want to have some traditional Chinese peach buns. I found out this past weekend that there are differences in styles, in SF where I'm at, the bakeries that do sell them, make them totally different than what I'm used to in Taiwan.
Ideally, I want the buns to be peach shaped, and slightly tinted pink, filled with either red bean or lotus paste. The ones I found in SF Chinatown was just a round bun (sometimes with a small "tail") and stamped with some red characters.
Are there any online sources? Or better yet, in the SF Bay area? Or how about a recipe for them?
