I have been to Cha Me Cha, Ten Ren, Papa Chang's, are there any other great Taiwanese spots in Markham, Richmond Hill or Scarborough that I'm missing out on? Who has the best popcorn chicken, who has the best tea? who has the best shaved Ice? Charles???

I don't venture much outside of the core, but I remember going up Markham last year and really enjoyed the hot grass jelly drink at Leaf De Tea at First Markham Place. It's a mom and pop shop place in a food court. Really friendly owner. Tea egg and drunk chicken were on point.

Lohas in Unionville is also has decent popcorn chicken. My only complaint is that all the food arrived lukewarm even though only a couple of tables were filled.

If you can venture downtown, I highly recommend Diyijia near Yonge and Wellesley. Really great fried chicken and yam fries.
