Taiwanese slush in the Valley?

Das Ubergeek | Jul 2, 200502:17 AM

One of our favourite desserts is at a place called Shau May, on the corner of Garfield and Garvey, next to the (recently re-opened) ABC Cafe... it's various fruits and beans covered in shaved ice and then topped with condensed milk.

I went on a mission tonight to try and find it without having to go all the way to Monterey Park, and failed -- the Thai places up on Sherman Way had something similar but it was pretty much either fruit cocktail or weird jellies (I've never been able to stomach grass jelly).

I tried along Sepulveda and couldn't find anything. I ended up going to Shau May and nearly getting killed by the drunken idiots on the freeways.

Is there Taiwanese slush in the Valley?
