taiwanese scallion cakes, torn chicken

Back when I was living in Tainan, Taiwan a few years ago I became addicted to "onion cakes" ... have forgotten the chinese name and am trying to find them. Unlike scallion pancakes, they were about the size of your hand, chewy, almost hard, doughy biscuits filled with scallions and eaten with hot sauce or soy sauce for breakfast. Went to a few places in Flushing but to no avail. Anyone?

Also, torn chicken with rice - great comfort food. I tried the version at Laifood but the rice wasn't as flavorful as I remembered - not enough drippings, I think. Is it served anywhere else?
