Across from the west gate of Taiwan National University, known as Taida, north of the McDonalds and south of the chicken leg emporiums, was a green tiled shop where one could sit and cool off chile drinking 500 cc of freshly blended watermelon juice, starfruit juice, papaya milk or pineapple juice or spooning up sliced fruit and shaved ice. I loved that place. Is there anything like it in California? Must be Taiwanese. Must involve fresh fruit. Boba this is not.
