Food of Taiwan by Cathy Erway has popped up in some of those (evil) cookbook buying threads.

It was at the library so I snapped it up. It's a beautiful cookbook and many of the recipes look intriguing. I haven't taken a close look at ingredients or instructions but I like how she includes the chinese name with the english name of the dish. I wish she had carried that over to the index like Dunlop's LOP (favorite index ever).
Anyway, yesterday's Boston Globe had this article about a local blogger who has many Taiwanese recipes on her blog.

Within the article, there is a reference to another Taiwanese cookbook called
Homestyle Cooking of Taiwan (1st edition)
or
Taiwanese Homestyle Cooking (2nd edition).
I *think* this is the cookbook that was referred to in the article.
Anyone cook from any of the above? If so, did you have successful results?
I fear my cookbook buying spree has not ended. At least it's not the path of mutual destruction, just mutual spending.
