I am incredibly happy this place exists, because they have really excellent salty soybean milk - lots of hot oil, fluffy milk, you tiao (cruller) slices, and some sort of vegetable at the bottom. It's so much better than Chung Shin Yuan's salty soybean milk, which had the fluffy milk and the you tiao, but no hot oil or mysterious vegetable. I have no idea what that mysterious vegetable is, but it was in every salty soybean milk I had in Taiwan. It tastes like seaweed but has a firmer consistency.
Steamed pork and vegetable buns were not nearly as memorable - filling could use seasoning. Rice rolls were very good, sticky and a bit crunchy and a bit sweet from the fish powder.
I am definitely going back to Taiwan Cafe for my Taiwanese breakfast cravings.
