Taiwan Liu He Snacks - San Jose

zartemis | Jun 11, 201502:02 PM

Had lunch at Min Min Pot's successor today.

Similar Taiwanese food selection to Mama Chef in Santa Clara, with many taiwanese standards: oyster pancake, beef noodle soup, fried onion pork rolls, etc. Very tiny. Unlike Mama Chef, they do take credit cards.

I love A-choy and my boyfried is fond of loofah, so we had both. Also ordered the oyster pancake and fried pork roll.

We did the steamed version of A-choy with pork. Good fatty pork parts (better than Mama Chef) and great meaty sauce. The loofah was sauteed well.

Pork roll was served with pickles (nice touch) and decent, but not fried as well as Mama Chef typically does, it was soggy by end of the meal. Oyster pancake was heavy on greens which I appreciated, but was otherwise typical for this dish, about average quality.

Service as very friendly and helpful.

We liked it enough to return and try more (we live just a couple miles away).
