In a few weeks I'll be flying through Taipei (Chiang Kai Shek Intl Airport), and will have a 4 1/2 hour layover in the evening.
So.....Where should I have dinner?
Is there anyplace decent in the airport itself? What are the options for leaving the airport (which I prefer, if feasible) and going somewhere interesting nearby?
(Please bear in mind the short time in transit: I figure that 4.5 hours of transit time means that, after subtracting time for security check etc., I'll only have about 2 - 2.5 hours. On the positive side, I speak enough Chinese to get around with relatively little hassle.)
And, if it's feasible to leave the airport (and thus go through immigration) for good eating, does anyone have recent information on the status of airport procedures at CKS (security, immigration, departure tax?, etc.).
Many thanks in advance!
