I love the look of the Moroccan tagine(tajine) but I have no experience with them.
Aside from the gorgeous shape (not a small consideration :) ), what is it like to cook with them? Can I achieve the same results with a Dutch Oven or Pressure Cooker?
Can anyone share experience(s)?
Bubble bursting time. From what I have heard, Moroccan restaurants cook their food in ordinary cookware. The tagines are used for serving. The original use for the tagine was to cook a single family meal in the neighborhood communal oven. Cook your food as you wish and get a beautiful serving tagine.
