A friend from work stumbled upon a little joint on Route 70 near Camden, and came in to work raving. Two carnitas tacos later, I have to agree that Taco House is the real deal.
Tacos arrive simply - on a corn tortilla with just wonderfully seasoned meat, onion, cilantro and a wedge of lime. Accompaniments include refried beans and chips and two salsas - a spicy avocado/tomatillo and a garlickly tomato concotion. Total for two tacos, the beans and chips and a tamarindo Mexican soda was $5.30.
This little gem of a dive is in a Dunkin Donuts-anchored strip mall on 70-West - right near the abandoned Point movie theater. If you are heading West from Cherry Hill, it's just a minute or two before the merge with 38. Look for the Dunkin Donuts and pull into the lot. I believe the address is 4252 Route 70.
I was the only customer and got wonderful service from the three nice ladies working at the time.
