Thanks for the tip, fellow chowhounders.....I really enjoyed the very authentic food. It was there or El Huipil, and I'll try the other place in Red Hook soon. We started with beef nachos which were great, then I had the cheese enchiladas with mole, husband had beef poblanos with mole, and a friend had chicken mexican style. His came with a few hot tortillas. I loved mine, but husband wasn't so thrilled with the sweetness of the mole.......it was a bit on the sweeter-side, but I was fine with it. Could be that he's not really a big mole fan, but, I think he wouldn've liked it a bit less sweet. As for the chips and salsa, they were good too, with obviously fresh salsa and green chile salsa too. We went at about 7:00pm and by the time we left, the place was pretty well filled up. Next time I'll try the tacos and maybe a special.
