We are headed from San Francisco to LA on 101 and we had a quick and inexpensive lunch at this taqueria Tacos La Potranca. 7 tacos and a torta came to about $14 and it was delicious. The Lengua on my taco was probably the best lengua I've ever had. Super tender and juicy. All the others were good too. Cabeza, chicken, carne asada. The al pastor torta came on a soft telera roll. Not huge, but just enough of all the fixings. The only minus was the barely pickled, unspicy, unpeeled carrots on all the plates. We got some pickled jalapenos by request. Service was very friendly and quick. Great stop! We will be heading home next weekend and will probably stop again. My husband is dying to try the tripe torta. Mmmm, tripe.
