Taco Truck at Herring Run Park (B-more)

MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED!!!!! I live a block or so from Herring Run Park and every spring there are Sunday soccer games and I have always wondered why no one brought a taco truck to serve the many fans of the mostly Latino teams. Last week, I was driving down Chesterfield Ave when I spied the familiar heart-warming aluminum box truck. Painted lettering announced Tacos y Pupusas. PUPUSAS, TOO! Today. the gringo wife and I got in line with a bunch of Latinos and were rewarded with a pupusa and carne asada platter (for me) and plain pupusa platter (for her) along with 2 beef tacos for the boy. The carne asada was slightly chewy but redolent of beef, citrus, and spices. the pupusas were perfectly grilled little rounds of cheesy delight. Hers came with a cabbage salad, mine with a green salad. The total bill was $14. We asked if any of our neighbors had made their way over and were told no. If you live in NE Baltimore and are looking for a good casual Sunday lunch, this is it. They're on the north side of Chesterfield, east of Harford Rd, just before Norman Ave.
