OK so the name isn't that creative. The food isn't either. But I don't want creativity, I want a great big fresh steak burrito and this place has it.

Taco Burrito House or TBH on Broadway, just south of Irving, is a little storefront restaurant with a few tables and a counter. They offer the expected: tacos, burritos, quesadillas, but everything is fresh. You order guacamole, they start mashing avacados. Then they'll drop some tortillas in the fryer to make chips. This makes for a little wait, but its well worth it. Of premier importance to me in mexican places is the quality of the meat and I have always had good steak and chicken here.

Another good sign. Mexicans eat here too. Also, the owner is always there and, once he starts to recognize you, you can count on a "Hello, my friend" greeting each time.

One other note: they tend to be a little generous with the toppings. I order easy sourcream.
