We're excited to introduce a new series of posts in which you will have the opportunity to "pick the brains” of top chefs, cookbook authors or people doing interesting things in the food space. "Table Talk" will allow us to bring you closer to industry experts who are passionate about food, like you.
You will have until the evening of January 26th to ask your questions via comment, and then, at the end of the week, a staff member will talk directly and interview our guest with the best questions. Once it's all said and done, we will share our guest’s answers on the very same post where you shared your original questions.
To kick off our very first "Table Talk", we'd like you to meet Jessamyn Waldman Rodriguez: a master baker, founder of Hot Bread Kitchen (a social enterprise that builds lasting economic security for immigrant and minority individuals by creating pathways to professional opportunities in the culinary industry) and author of The Hot Bread Kitchen Cookbook.
Before launching Hot Bread Kitchen, Jessamyn focused on human rights, education and immigration issues when she worked for several NGOs, and the United Nations. After receiving her Master Baker Certificate from the New School and becoming the first female bread baker at Daniel Boulud’s eponymous restaurant, she launched Hot Bread from her home kitchen in 2007.
So let's get the conversation started! Share your questions here and we'll bring the best questions to Jessamyn. We will be posting her answers on Friday, January 29th. Stay tuned!
